New Moon...

So, I actually DVRed the MTV Movie Awards just so I could see the first official trailer for New Moon. For those of you who were prehaps trapped underground for the last several years, New Moon is the second installment in the Twilight Saga. So, was my DVRing worth it? Keep reading...

Disclaimer...if you are a guy, you might want to stop reading now. There will be some serious cougar talk below that might offend, upset or distress you in some way...

Well, Robert Pattinson is back as Edward. Yum! He is 23 years old playing 17 and I just don't care...he is smoking hot. In the New Moon trailer, he is especially tasty in the suit during the Bella birthday party scene. Good heavens...that man knows how to wear a suit. Also, his hair is back to that wild shaggy look and I am loving it! Wolf boy looks good too and the CGI of him from boy to wolf looks good...SO much better than Twilight's cheesy effects. Wolf boy aside, women always go for the vampires. Why? Well, I have been pondering this age old questions...or question since Bram wrote about Drucula. Vampires are bad boys. Even Edward, with all his charm and early 1900's manners, is still just one bite away from dangerous. They can kill you or make you theirs. Obviously, vampires and the whole biting bit is sexual in nature so perhaps that is why they are so appealing to cougars such as myself...and most of the other women on planet Earth. Most are rich, strong, really good looking and, in Edward's case, have great hair and secretly hide a British accent (which, we all know, women love...that or an Irish one). So, was that tiny little glimpse of New Moon worth it? You betcha! Anyone else notice that a movie that is suppose to be almost Edward free had a trailer full of him? Yep, that new director is not stupid. Edward will be showing up a little more than in the book I am thinking. And to that I say, good golly bring him on!

OK...men can resume reading as the cougar has finished...for now.

I have to say that I watched the end of Thirty Days of Night the other night and my opinion of vampires changed a little bit! Have you seen that? Yikes - almost had to turn it off - it was late at night and they were covered in blood and ripping body parts off, etc. Not what Bram had in mind originally, I think.

@Sister - Yes, I have seen that movie. Funny you should mention it. The director of Thirty Days of Night is going to direct the third Twilight Saga movie (Eclipse)! We may see some wicked vampires in that one!!
